Eight young women gathered by the Hotel after a collapse in passage left them unable to return to their origin, became the stewards of The Reliquary. Each was entrusted with a talisman upon arrival, not as consolation, but as acknowledgment, and together they guard what cannot be released back into the world without consequence..
