The very best companion and witness is my husky mix dog.With one blue eye and one brown, she drifts between sleep and mild disapproval, huffing at my refusal to end the night or alternatively provide her with cheese on demand. It is in those quiet, suspended hours that the doors open, and Sidney the concierge allows me know the stories.
